Inland Delivery Manager is a unique opportunity to realize the full potential of Hapag-Lloyd’s inland business by providing state-of-the-art inland operations and services.
The IDT tasks are clustered around the topics of:
1,Transportation planning;
2,Operational management of inland transports;
3,Administrating inland transports;
4,Vendor and customer communication.
Inland Delivery Manager develops, leads and coaches Inland Deliver Team with an aim to create exceptional customer experiences related to inland shipments while fostering strong partnerships with our vendors.
As a manager, assists the Director with strategic direction and contributes to the business wide strategy while providing guidance in handling difficult or complex problems and in resolving complex, escalated complaints, or disputed for his/her team.
Responsibilities:
61 Proactive mindset and collaborative approach to monitor transport planning and optimization in cooperation with vendors
61 Responsible for the timely and cost-efficient inland transport of containers by rail, truck, barge and feeder vessel to/from locations within the area of operations
61 Handle inland-related customer service and transport exceptions
61 Make sure the IDT performance KPIs are met
61 Prepare SOP for new inland service/corridor
61 Assists sales to complete tender by providing the inland transport costs and information based on the tender requirements
61 Monitor vendor’s flow shares based on the procurement’s tender
61 Guides, coaches and supports the Inland Delivery team
61 Monitors and verifies team’s performance on workorder creation in requested time frame, minimize errors, reviews team’s productivity by weekly reports
61 Develop operational alternatives in case of transport bottlenecks and clarify administrative matters
61 Build a good understanding of customers’ inland transport chains and process requirements
61 Reviews and analyses weekly KPI reports to improve overall customer service and operations, and meet the required KPIs and company targets
61 Accountable for problem solution with customers, vendors, and other departments/offices with the company
61 Constant review of process, ensure team is in compliance with PREX, looks for best practices
Qualification:
61 Experience:5-8 years related experience in Maritime and logistics Industry.
61 English - Good level
61 Excellent understanding of inland transport, as well as ocean shipping markets
61 Strong analytical and problem-solving skills coupled with very good organizational and communication skills characterized by a high degree of customer and service orientation
61 High level of initiative, ability to work in a team and assertiveness
61 Ability to lead a team to achieve goals.
